Summer Scheme 2024

The Summer Scheme at Lorne offers a full programme of activities to participants aged 7-13. We have a wide range of adventurous activities on-site making it the perfect adventure for the summer holidays. The activities include climbing, archery, high ropes, bushcraft, Zipline, abseiling, team activities, sports, crafts - we make sure there is something for everyone! This scheme booked out in 3 weeks last year - don’t miss out!

For 2024 we are excited to announce a new Senior Scheme for 14, 15 and 16 year olds. We know that this age group often struggle with finding things to do over the summer and so we have set about creating a programme to meet their needs. The programme will focus on personal development, including leadership and communications skills, developing confidence and resilience while having fun in the outdoors. We can’t wait to welcome the first group of participants on this programme. Places are limited to 25 per week.

This year the Main Summer Scheme will be running on the following dates:

Week One - Monday 1st July - Friday 5th July

Week Two - Monday 8th July - Friday 12th July

Week Three - Monday 15th July - Friday 19th July

Week Four - Monday 22nd July - Friday 26th July

Week Five - Monday 29th July - Friday 2nd August

Week Six - Monday 5th August - Friday 9th August

Week Seven - Monday 12th August - Friday 16th August

Week Eight - Monday 19th August - Friday 23rd August

Times: 9am - 4.00pm (drop off at 8.45am available at no extra charge)

The NEW Senior Scheme will be running on the following dates:

Week One - Monday 29th July - Friday 2nd August

Week Two - Monday 5th August - Friday 9th August

Cost for the scheme is £135 for each full week per participant. This is a full week programme - no day places are available.

Participants should wear suitable clothing for outdoor activities such as trainers, tracksuit bottoms, a t-shirt and fleece. If the weather is particularly good (fingers crossed!) participants may wear shorts but these should be knee length to allow for the harnesses required for many of the activities.

Participants should also bring a bag containing: a packed lunch with a refillable water bottle, a waterproof jacket, warm layers (or sunscreen and a sun hat), a full change of clothes including shoes, a towel, washbag and any medication required. A small tuck shop will be running at lunch time and participants are welcome to bring up to £3 if they wish.
