Climbing Wall at Lorne Estate - Reach New Heights

Our session begins as the group gathers at the climbing wall site for an initial safety briefing. Instructors carry out a full head-to-toe check to ensure everyone is prepared with hair tied back, loose clothing secured, and appropriate footwear worn.

Once ready, participants are fitted with helmets and harnesses before moving to the climbing area. The instructor explains the rules of the wall, how to climb safely, and what to expect during the activity.

The group is then split evenly between instructors, who guide smaller teams through their climbs. Each participant typically gets the chance to climb two routes, allowing them to experience both the easy sloped wall and the more challenging vertical side.

The easy sloped wall is ideal for younger or less experienced climbers, as its angle naturally supports balance and helps build confidence. For those ready for a challenge, the harder wall offers trickier holds and requires more thought about body positioning and route planning.

Because the wall is solid (with no open gaps), climbers cannot see through to the ground, helping reduce nerves and making this an excellent introduction for anyone new to heights.
