Set within Lorne’s stunning 21 acre site, and mix of woodland paths, open lawns, and hidden checkpoints, our orienteering session offers a truly immersive outdoor experience.

What to expect

GroupsSchools

Group sessions begin at a central meeting point for a quick prep and safety check before the adventure begins. After a short intro to orienteering, your experience begins with some fun map games to introduce key skills.

After a safety briefing, small teams will set off with their maps to find checkpoints, navigate the terrain, and put their teamwork to the test! It’s active, exciting, and packed with discovery – a fun and rewarding adventure for everyone!

For school orienteering days, the experience is both tailored and educational. Students begin with a short, interactive introduction to map reading and navigation, before progressing to ‘star orienteering’, a fun way to build confidence in finding checkpoints.

From there, they progress from short simple routes to longer, timed courses with scoring – ideal for measurable learning outcomes. Along the way, students develop navigation skills, spatial awareness, independence, and teamwork, making it a dynamic, hands-on outdoor learning experience.
